DSEI UK 2025: Creomagic unveils CreoEdge-Dome comms system

Creomagic Ltd., a developer of advanced communication technologies, is set to unveil a new tactical broadband communications solution at DSEI UK 2025, according to news released on 5th September 2025. The system, called CreoEdge-Dome, is designed to provide wide-area coverage and high-bandwidth performance for deployed forces in environments with little to no existing infrastructure.

The CreoEdge-Dome is an omnidirectional hub that creates a communications bubble. It combines MANET (Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks) technology with tactical cellular concepts. A MANET is a type of wireless network where devices can communicate with each other directly, without a fixed or centralised infrastructure. The system is designed to provide a high-capacity link for voice, video, and data transmission.

Inspired by 5G technology, the system features dynamic resource scheduling and sectorised antennas. These are antennas that divide a coverage area into sectors to allow for more efficient use of the network. This design allows users to move between sectors without interruption. The CreoEdge-Dome can be vehicle- or carrier-mounted, transforming it into a mobile broadband hub for surrounding units.

The system delivers a throughput of up to 80 Mbps and provides coverage for tactical zones and forward units. It can also create long-range links for connecting dispersed MANET clusters. It integrates various technologies, including MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), which uses multiple antennas to improve data transmission and reception, and frequency hopping, which is a method of transmitting radio signals by rapidly switching a carrier frequency among many distinct frequencies. These features are intended to ensure stable communications in contested or congested electronic environments.

It leverages existing products from Creomagic like CreoHub, which is designed for infantry, and CreoEdge for vehicles. The company appears to be developing a range of cognitive electronic warfare systems that use artificial intelligence to improve their effects against a communications network.

Company Profile: Creomagic

Creomagic Ltd. is a privately-owned Israeli company that develops and manufactures communications solutions. It was founded in 2011 and is based in Rehovot, Israel. The company specialises in creating intelligent Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) for mission-critical teams and tactical operations. Its products are used in various defence applications, including ground robotics, maritime systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Creomagic will be presenting the CreoEdge-Dome at stand N11-216 during DSEI.

Calibre comment

Communications are key to modern concepts of warfare like any-sensor to any-shooter, which imagines a way of fighting in which data can be passed from any sensor to any shooter. Broadband communications links are critical for this to work as standard radio networks will often have very limited bandwidth. Software-defined radios are critical, and developing types of network that automatically manage their radio traffic is also vital.
